Can I give this product every day?
Yes!
How long will this last my dog?
~60 days for a large dog (61 to 100 pounds).
How is the colostrum collected?
The calves get the colostrum all to themselves for the first 12 hours. After that, the colostrum is collected and shared with the calf. This ensures the calves are protected and healthy since they are a future part of the family farms Four Leaf Rover work with.
Calves are never separated from their mothers, even during collection time. This ensures the best quality colostrum and an ethical approach to farming. After collection, the colostrum is gently dried into a powder form.
If my dog has beef sensitivity, can he still take colostrum?
If your dog has a beef sensitivity, he may still tolerate colostrum since the proteins are different. Colostrum also contains a lot less lactose than milk, so can be tolerated by some dogs with lactose intolerance.
If your dog has a sensitivity to beef or dairy, start with a very small amount or check with your veterinarian.
What's the best way to give my dog colostrum?
For best results, give your dog colostrum at least 20 minutes before his/her next meal.
You can mix it with a little bit of broth or spring water if you like. This product can be given long term.
Is the colostrum pasteurized?
Four Leaf Rover's bovine colostrum is not pasteurized. It is freeze dried to help maintain beneficial immunoglobulins (IgG &IgA) to support a healthy gut and balanced immune response.
