How long will this last for my pet?
A pet that weighs <25lbs, it will last 120 days. For a pet that weighs 26-50 lbs, this will last 60 days. For a pet that weighs 51-75lbs, this will last 40 days. For a pet that weighs >76 lbs, it will last 30 days.
Where are the mushrooms grown?
Mushrooms utilized for medicinal purposes are rarely from North America. Most mushrooms come from Asia, primarily China. In fact, China produces about 85% of the world’s mushrooms. Fera Pets' has selected cultivation areas in China that are deep in the mountains and far from industrial pollution. They stand by their Chinese partners 100% and source only the highest quality ingredients.
Can I trust mushrooms from China?
Yes! Quality control is Fera's top priority. Before exporting the mushrooms from China, they undergo rigorous testing for microbials (bacteria, yeast and mold, E.coli, and coliforms), heavy metals, pesticides, and a final organoleptic evaluation. Once the mushrooms have arrived in the US, testing is repeated by qualified 3rd party labs for microbials, heavy metals, pesticides that exceed US standards, beta glucan testing to ensure presence of active compounds, ergosterol testing to ensure fungal purity, alpha glucan testing to guard against carriers, Reishi extracts analyzed for triterpenodids, cordyceps analyzed for cordycepin, and a final organoleptic evaluation.
What is the mushroom extraction process?
All of Fera's mushroom extracts are made using a hot water extraction (90-100 degrees). Some of their concentrated mushroom extracts are made using both hot water & alcohol (also known as "Dual Extract" or "DE"). After these go through the hot water extraction process, they also go through a 50-95% @80 degree ethanol extraction.
What is the minimum beta-glucan content?
Fera's Mushroom Blend has anywhere between >16-50% Beta Glucans. It changes between batches due to variations in mushrooms. Check the beta glucan content of your specific product using Fera's COA lookup tool!
